Birmingham based amateur operatic society Operamus approached me to design and make some costumes for their production of "Amahl & The Night Visitors". I worked on the costumes for the three Kings and a Page
Creative Textile Classes
I am teaching weekly Creative Textiles classes at the St Francis Centre in Bournville, Birmingham.
The emphasis is on exploring: line, colour, texture, pattern, surface, embellishment,
layering and not forgetting experimenting with use
of stitch and creative techniques by hand
and using the sewing machine. I encourage my students to develop individual ideas and
to work at a pace that suits them. There is inspiration and opportunities for students to
develop their
skills, knowledge and ideas across a broad range of styles and techniques in

Artist Residency at Frankley Library, Northfield, Birmingham.
I have recently been selected as the artist in residence at Frankley Library. This is a development of a long partnership between Craftspace and Staffordshire County Council. The residency is a pilot in the Making Moves II
project with Craftspace working in partnership with Birmingham City Council. My residency work involves me in working with the local community to develop arts based work and skills sharing events. I will also be developing
my own practice, mentoring a graduate placement and working with students who are studying at Birmingham City University at Birmingham Institute of Art and Design. There will be an exhibition and an event to bring the
